Prepare for the Unexpected
As we all know, Montana’s weather can be extremely unpredictable. With snow, rain, or shine, sometimes all in one day, it is wise to be prepared for anything. That includes a flood. A business owner's policy doesn’t cover flooding and it is important to protect your property from floods associated with heavy rains and other flooding conditions.
National Flood Insurance Program
Property owners can cover their property through the government’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). NFIP offers flood protection to businesses, homeowners, and renters if their community participates in the program.
Flood Insurance covers the building itself and this coverage may be required by your bank. It also covers contents of the building similar to the homeowner’s policy.
Find out more about NFIP and if your community qualifies by contacting your agent and visiting the NFIP website.
